West Coast Swing AND Hustle!!!

Platinum Party, the third Friday of each month is a VERY big deal in New York City! About 100 dancers turned out to groove to the sounds of DJ Wes Carrajat. Every single song was a dance inspiration. The mix of fast and slow music was exactly right. The atmosphere was delightful. Everyone danced with everyone.

It was Eric and Anna's three year anniversary of meeting. She sure is lucky! How many guys would remember something like that? So they put on a little show - a west coast swing routine - and were quite good together.

Here is a tip: the dance costs $15 but if you pre-pay at the website, it is $10. This is a venue that is worth any price. There is always a lesson - this month it was a crash course in west coast swing.

Platinum Party is held at You Should Be Dancing, 412 Eighth Avenue, which is near the corner of 31st Street. It is easy to get to from Penn Station and the PATH train from New Jersey.
