Dancing in Boca Raton

A friend from Florida let me know she is interested in dancing in Boca Raton. Since there is TONS of dancing right in her backyard, I thought I should write a whole post about it. I am so jealous of all the people who get to live and dance in Boca!

First of all, you guys have lots of country. Oh, how I love two-step! This is the best way to begin to learn to dance. If I could go to Boca right now, I would run over to the Roundup. A very good friend of mine, who has a condo in Ft. Lauderdale, tells me this is the place to go. This very friendly country western nightclub offers lessons five nights a week. You don't need a partner and you'll likely make a whole bunch of new friends on your first night there!

Second, one of my dance teachers recommends Boca Raton Ballroom for studio style lessons. There is a good mix of ages, backgrounds and levels of dance. The studio is friendly but won't try to hustle you into buying lessons. And, as a matter of fact, you can go to "Meet Up" and look at pictures of their regular, free dance night.

Looks like fun to me!
