Every Saturday night in New York City, a very fun group of people gather and dance to country music in this 2,000 square foot loft. Big Apple Ranch, at Dance Manhattan, is predominantly a gay venue. There were quite a few non-gay people and quite frankly, it was a woman's dance paradise.

There were all the leaders that one could ever hope to dance with and they were all very friendly and very good. Furthermore, there was no competition for male attention, and therefore no need to get all dressed up to attract dance partners. No Victoria's Secret push-up bras, no ridiculous lip plumpers, no worries about hair. Just lots of really good dancing!
There is a beginning two-step lesson at 8:00 pm and a line dance lesson at 8:30 pm. During the evening a DJ plays mostly two-step with a sprinkling of line dances and few waltzes and swings. All this for $10!
I feel that anyone would enjoy the Big Apple Ranch - gay, straight - whatever. Its just a really good time. Whoever you are, you will feel very comfortable and have an excellent time!
