John Lindo's EXCELLENT Venues!

Rockaway Sundays and Thursday Night California Mix is BACK!
Fall is here and so are everyone’s favorite dance venues.

Sunday, September 18 was a major BASH!!!

Arjay Centeno teaching w Bridget Wheeler

120+ people came to Arjay Centeno’s lesson and John Lindo’s dance.

It was UNBELIEVABLE!!!

People from all over the tri-state were there, some from southern New Jersey.  The floor was packed all night long.

Steve Wilder & Janet Scuorza WCS
What a great place!

Lots of wide open space.
(2,100 sq. ft.).

What a wonderful dance floor!

It was the kind of place you could really spread out and make yourself comfortable.

A quality night of dancing!!!

John does a really good job with the California Mix style of DJ mix.

There are plenty of bona fide progressive and nightclub two-steps, west and east coast swings, hustles, cha-chas, waltz and a few line dances.

Plenty of room to do all those fancy patterns that always bang into other people!

Wobble Baby Wobble!
Lately, the Wobble line dance has been everywhere! Almost everyone knows it.

I’ve Wobbled all over Florida, Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey!

The song is infectious and the routine is simple.

Anyone can do it!

Everyone gets into the act on this one.

Justin Bozinta & Karen Dooley 2-Steppin'
Everyone knows that when John throws a party - its going to be really good!

That's why the season opening of Rockaway Dance (after the summer hiatus) drew such a BIG and enthusiastic crowd.

It just felt great to get out and dance!

Colorado Café Thursdays was cancelled due to:

EXTREME MANAGEMENT STUPIDITY

(Co Cafe - not John)

BUTWAIT - Thursdays are on again!

John now has an arrangement at the American Legion Hall in Clark, New Jersey.

Colorado is a hard act to follow. The American Legion is not a super cool country bar.

But the drinks are a whole lot cheaper!

And the music hasn’t changed – nor the people.

What more could we ask for?

Over 100 people piled into the American Legion Hall on Thursday.

The room felt a little claustrophobic - with low ceilings and too much furniture.

But John Lindo has an excellent track record and I'm betting he’ll figure out how to make this work.

Hey John – any chance you can move your Thursday night location to Rockaway?

This could be the biggest thing to ever hit the state!

Its really not that much further away and that awesome space makes it worth the distance.

Tony Lee & Tina Mendenhall WCS
Let's Dance Rockaway: 100 Hibernia Ave., Rockaway, NJ (862.209.1330), Lesson at 5pm and dancing goes to 9pm. $20
Not as easy to find as you’d think. Expect to drive past where the building number should logically be located.

About ½ block down from that point is a traffic light...

Dennis Riley & Karen Henshaw WCS
Here’s the trick: turn left at that light and go back on the parallel street.

Who comes up with these street designs? I guess its the same nutz who designed the NJ freeway system!

Anyway, Let's Dance Rockaway will be on your right.

It was Karen Henshaw's Birthday that Sunday and got to enjoy with her!

American Legion: 78 Westfield Ave., Clark, NJ (732.574.8374) - Every Thursday night w/lesson at 7:30pm and dancing until 11:30pm - $10

Everyone says “oh, its easy to find – its by the Helicopter Canon!

Guess again Kimosabe!

Its not on Westfield Ave., it is in the middle of the block on LIBERTY Street.

Only the “Helicopter Canon” is on Westfield and its in the pitch black DARK!
Geez-a-lou!

I have spent more time getting lost in New Jersey trying to find John Lindo’s events than it takes me to write about it!

Good Thing its Worth it!

I have been taking a Zip Car to these venues.

This is an hourly car rental and there are cars in parking lots all over New York and New Jersey.

Manhattan people: once you learn your way around, it is really fun to do these things.

Peter Bandy & Diane Quatronne Carroll
Driving in New Jersey can be daunting and not for anyone with blood pressure or heart problems.

Those lunatics drive like Indy 500 wanna-bee’s.

You need GPS and nerves of steel!

But the dancing is really good out there!
